Program for Students with Disabilities
The Program for Students with Disabilities (PSD) caters for students who are enrolled in
government schools who have a disability that effects their ability to participate in education.
The Program has seven categories and guidelines for eligibility for each category is available
in the PSD Handbook available for download.
Children must be enrolled in a school to be eligible for the program. Once enrolled the school
will compile and submit an application.
Preschool ASD Assessment Service
Northern Metropolitan Region will undertake assessments for preschool applications for the
Program for Students with Disabilities under the category of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Referral must be made from an early childhood centre and a diagnosis of Autism must already
be established.
