The 2006 School of Rock
was held between the 6th and 9th June 2006 at two venues - La Mirage Somerton and Ivanhoe Centre Ivanhoe.
With 52 schools performing, this was something very, very
special.
Over the last
4 weeks all primary and secondary schools will have received the
latest School of Rock DVD. Many students who I have seen in my
travels of late are really delighted with the final outcome.
They felt very proud and really satisfied with the way the DVD
show cased all the schools. Many of the music teachers called
and asked for any unedited versions of their schools
performance, this shows the amount of interest that this years
performance generated. I am pleased to have sent to all schools
this years DVD and I hope that teachers and students will make
every effort to watch and enjoy the vast and diverse
performances on it.

Callum Gleeson is based in Melbourne, and has been a student at Distance
Education Centre Victoria (DECV) for a number of years. On 11th May 2006
he was the first DECV student to ever perform a concert at the DECV
